Originally from France and now based in Glasgow, Daphné Rouge is an alt-pop artist blending infectious disco grooves, witchy aesthetics, and raw emotional honesty.
After performing in bands across France and Scotland, she built a loyal online audience through intimate acoustic covers — a foundation that shaped her signature contrast of soft vulnerability and bold, shimmering attitude.
Influenced by artists like Billie Eilish, Måneskin, Paramore and Hozier, Daphné dances on the line between glitter and gloom. Her upcoming Disco Depression Era embraces heartbreak, humour, and catharsis, turning difficult experiences into pulsing, glitter-soaked empowerment anthems.

Feathers
Kicking off the EP with on a heartfelt not, "Feathers" captures the essence of longing and hope amidst unprecedented times. Penned during lockdown, Daphné's lyrics echo the universal yearning for lost freedoms, drawing inspiration from the sight of birds gracefully navigating an empty city. She channels the ache for human connections and the tumultuous storms of life's emotion.
As the EP's opening track, "Feathers" sets the stage for a journey filled with emotive exploration and raw vulnerability.
Neon Throne
This second song describes the journey through mental health struggles. This track addresses that profound sense of emptiness and solitude that often lurks beneath the surface in social settings. Surrounded by so many people but still feel that sense of loneliness. Amidst the neon glow of a crowded room, two souls recognize that feeling in each other through the crowd and try to get closer to finally feel a sense of belonging.
NoAngel
"NoAngel," is a powerful anthem born from the ashes of heartbreak and betrayal.. Drawing from personal experiences of love lost, shattered music connections, and friendships severed, Daphné channels raw emotions into a defiant declaration of strength. This song is the aftermath of what abusing and hurting a gentle person looks like. With a fierce resolve, Daphné warns the world of her reawakened power, reclaiming her narrative in the face of adversity.

DNA
"DNA," began as a simple writing exercise exploring the layers of Greek mythology.
Curious about her own name as a little kid, Daphne was told about the myth of Daphne and Apollo. Naturally as she wanted to write about a Greek myth, she picked this one as her starting point. Its timeless themes of ego, love, and loss resonated deeply, ultimately finding a place within the EP.

Overdrive
Concluding the EP with an burst of energy, "Overdrive" leaves a lasting impression with its dynamic fusion of beats and introspective themes. This track juxtaposes the dance-worthy rhythms with the weight of a serious subject—insomnia and ADHD. As the melodies transport listeners into a realm of restless minds and endless inner chatter, "Overdrive" serves as both a complaint and a celebration of the hyperactive state of mind. Through its exploration of intrusive thoughts and the perpetual struggle to find peace in sleep, the song offers a reflection on the duality of ADHD—a gift and a curse.
